The model jet engine has been around for a while now and has firmly established itself as an important part of the RC hobby. These jet engines are definitely NOT for the beginner and a rigid safety protocol MUST be followed when running and especially when flying! An RC jet aircraft can fly at speeds in excess of 300km/h - this is definitely NOT a toy!  
The principals involved are identical to those associated with the full size gas turbine engine. Very simply the principal involved is "Suck-Squeeze-Bang-Blow"
The "Suck" refers to the centrifugal compressor, that draws air into the engine. The vanes on the compressor direct the air outwards, towards the outer "can" of the turbine, where it is compressed ("Squeeze") and directed around and into the combustion chamber. In the combustion chamber, fuel is injected as a fine mist and the mixture of air and fuel is ignited ("Bang").
This ignition of the highly compressed air/fuel mixture causes it to expand very rapidly and as there is highly compressed air at the front of the engine, the hot, expanding mixture takes the less resistant path and exits out the back of the combustion chamber. ("Blow")
Here it passes through a turbine and exits out of the nozzle. As it passes through the turbine, it causes it to spin. This rotary motion is transferred, via the main shaft, back to the centrifugal compressor. Thus the cycle is complete and self sustaining.

Turbojet Engine Works specialises in providing support to owners of micro gas turbine engines typically used by hobbyists in their large scale RC aircraft. Regular inspections and maintenance are essential requirements in keeping a micro gas turbine engine running reliably, and most importantly, safely.
Manufacturers generally specify a service interval of 25 hours however other factors may determine whether a gas turbine engine requires more frequent inspections and minor maintenance. Takeoffs and landings on grass runways should be accompanied by more frequent internal inspections and cleaning operations.

Turbojet Engine Works can provide the following services;
- Minor service - removal of outer casing, inspection of internal components for wear or degradation, cleaning, assembly and inspection report provided.
- Major service - as per minor service but may also include bearing replacement, balancing of rotor, minor repair to compressor, replacement of internal components such as compressor, combustion chamber, NGV, turbine, compressor intake, shaft, shaft tunnel, etc.

- Used turbine engine inspection and testing whether prior to or after purchase.
- Electronic ancillary diagnosis/repair.
- Pump servicing, testing and diagnosis.
- Fluorescent penetrant non destructive testing.
- X-ray component imaging

- Sale of new and used engines (when available)
- Arranging for engines to be returned to manufacturer for repair if required.
