Turbojet Engine Works
Terms and Conditions
I encourage anyone wishing to use the services of Turbojet Engine Works to read the following terms and conditions relating to fees and charges, work turn-around timelines, supply of parts, and repairs and warranty.
Jet Engine Repair Fees
The standard hourly fee for work carried out on customer's turbine engines is $75 per hour. This is well below the average industry rate. However, some older and therefore lower value turbine engines may require many hours of repair and/or restoration work that could amount to a very high labour cost and on rare occasions, may exceed the value of the engine itself. In such cases, some discretion may be applied and the work might be carried out on such an engine at a fixed cap price as a 'good will' gesture to the customer. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. and negotiated with the engine owner prior to carrying out the repair work.
The standard charge for an inspection/internal cleaning service is $100. This is based on two hours of labour. However, this type of service may cost up to, but no more than, $150 if, for example, there are disassembly or assembly issues with the engine due to age, degradation of components or pre-existing damage on the engine causing more time to be spent on servicing it.
A more thorough service such as one that requires bearing replacement, balance and parts replacement will need to be quoted by sending the engine to Turbojet Engine Works for inspection.
Work Turn-around Time
Turbojet Engine Works will always try to complete turbine engine work in a very timely fashion. A cleaning/inspection service can usually be completed within 1-2 business days. However, more involved work may take longer depending on availability and delivery of parts, the nature of the repair/restoration work required and the number of jobs waiting in line.
It is understandable that customers want their work completed as quickly as possible and it is always Turbojet Engine Works' goal to complete the work as quickly as possible. Customers will always be informed vis SMS or phone call of the status of their engine's work progress.
Supply Of Parts
Due to the rapid evolution of the technology used in micro gas turbine engines and the frequent obsolescence of certain parts and accessories, Turbojet Engine Works keeps very limited stock of spare parts, especially those that rarely require replacement. The prices of certain parts/ancillaries are dynamic due to frequent currency conversion fluctuations and supplier price changes. Some parts/ancillaries are supplied on a change-over basis. If a change-over component cannot be supplied by the customer, then an additional surcharge may apply.
Certain parts that are required for a repair may need to be pre-paid by the customer before being ordered and prior to repair work being commenced.
Repairs and Warranty
Repairs to any gas turbine engines will be carried out competently and to the highest standards and attention to detail as possible, However, due to the relatively delicate nature and incredibly high tolerances to which micro gas turbine engines are built, and taking into account the very wide range of skill, use and care taken across the spectrum of micro gas turbine by owners, a warranty in any form will not be provided for any repair/restoration work carried out on customer's micro gas turbine engines. Warranties are provided for any accessories where the manufacturers of those components provide a warranty.
Turbojet Engine Works will not accept any responsibility for any damage to property or any harm or death caused to any person(s) as a result of any incident involving a micro gas turbine engine that has been previously serviced, repaired or restored by Turbojet Engine Works.
